Social media guidelines
KGM New Zealand welcomes your questions and feedback on our social media channels. These guidelines explain how we moderate posts.
Updated
We want everyone in our community to be able to share their opinions and experiences freely, including constructive feedback. For legal reasons, we regularly moderate all posts on official KGM New Zealand social media channels in line with these guidelines.
What not to post
Please do not post:
- Comments, links, images or videos that are deceptive, misleading, confidential, obscene, profane, pornographic, offensive, discriminatory, harmful or hateful, or that are unlawful or encourage illegal activity
- Posts that may be offensive to other community members
- Comments that, in our opinion, are intended to threaten any individual, organisation or company
- Comments intended to defame or harass an individual, or that, in our opinion, are unsubstantiated or untrue about an individual, KGM New Zealand, a KGM dealer, a KGM ambassador or any other person or entity associated with the KGM brand
- Numerous successive posts on the same topic by a single member
- Repetitive posts copied and pasted or duplicated by one or more members
- Unauthorised solicitations or advertisements
- Any material that infringes the rights of a third party, such as copyright
- Issues and commentary about individual customer circumstances that are actively under review by a KGM dealer or our Customer Relations team
- Posts showing or referring to products not endorsed by KGM New Zealand, including but not limited to unauthorised parts and accessories and unauthorised modifications to our products
How we moderate
KGM New Zealand reserves the right to:
- delete any posts that fall within the categories above
- wherever possible, limit the ability of any user to comment on its social channels, and block any entity that breaks these guidelines
Protect your privacy
Official KGM New Zealand social media channels can be viewed by a wide range of people. Take appropriate steps to protect your privacy. Never post highly personal, confidential or sensitive information, such as bank account or credit card details.
Posts by others
Posts on official KGM New Zealand social media channels do not necessarily reflect the opinions of KGM New Zealand. KGM New Zealand does not confirm their authenticity or accuracy.
Platform terms
When you use or access an official KGM New Zealand social media channel, you also accept, and must comply with, that platform’s own terms and conditions (for example, Facebook’s terms). Where relevant, those terms are incorporated into these guidelines by reference.
Customer service
Our social media channels are not intended to answer specific customer service questions. If you have questions or concerns about your vehicle, we would love to hear from you. Contact your local KGM dealer or our Customer Relations team on 0800 510 015, 9:00am–5:30pm Monday to Friday.
